Accounts Receivable Technician

POSITION:               Accounts Receivable Technician

REPORTS TO:        Accounting Manager

PRIMARY AREAS OF WORK:

Receive and record all deposits in bank accounts. Enter and reconcile all cash receipt transactions in automated accounting system.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Preparation of bank deposit.
  • Preparation and transmittal of credit card activity to bank.
  • Receipting of departmental cash activity, with appropriate documentation
  • Maintenance of cash receipt files.
  • Prepares cash receipts journal entries for bank reconciliations (deposits, deposit corrections and return checks).
  • Verify deposit transactions in product sales software (eBudde-Cookie Sale; Nutte–Fall Sale)
  • Reconcile credit card transaction to monthly merchant statement.
  • Generates various reports through accounting system and closes receivable monthly.
  • Maintains cash flow spreadsheet for operating bank accounts.
  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma. Two years work experience with accounts receivable, accounting, or banking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Associate in Accounting/Finance or Five years experience, preferably in accounts receivables, deposit reconciliation. Experience with automated accounting systems and spreadsheets.   Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
