Archives InternshipArchives Internship Who: Undergraduate or graduate students focusing on Museum Studies, Archival Studies, or American Studies in the Washington DC metro area. What: The GSCNC Archives is a smaller repository looking to completely reorganize its collection. This internship will engage in a variety of activities related to processing and interpretation, helping to organize the Archives in line with current Archival standards. Assignments will vary, but duties may include processing and preservation work, describing archival collections in online inventories and finding aids, and performing basic preservation work of document-based collections, artwork, photographs, and audio-visual formats. This internship is a great opportunity to help redefine the scope and scale of a non-profit organization's archives from the ground up. This position is unpaid. Where: Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital When: Volunteer or academic credit internships will take place during Summer 2011.
