Can Service Unit Managers use the Online Registration system to get a list of troop leaders in their SU?

SUMs can go to http://www.gscnc.org/leader_listing_lookup.html to look up those that we have listed as 01's in Personify by Service Unit. The information provided is very general - but will provide the names of the troop leaders.

Can new online registration system provide reminders, similar to training system?
We will have the ability to send out electronic confirmations once someone has registered, but it does not automatically send out reminders.

When a parent does their own registration, is there a slot to put association, SU, and troop number?
If a parent registers a new Girl Scout or a Girl Scout whose membership has lapsed for a year or more does not have the ability to put in a SU or a troop number.If the parent is renewing a registration, the girl will be registered to the SU/Troop that she was in during the 2010 Scout year.

Will there still be a troop hub?
A volunteer that has an 01 status within a troop will not lose access to the troop hub.

When parents register their daughters, will their name appear in the leader's troop hub?
If a parent renews their daughter's membership, once the membership is paid for the girl will appear in the troop hub as the renewal order is linked to the troop. If a parent registers a girl that is new to a troop, they will not appear in the troop hub automatically. The troop leader or SU Registrar will just need to complete the transfer request form leaving the Transfer From troop blank and we will then transfer them into the correct troop.

Who and when does transfers occur for registration?

Can a leader update # of years and adult role?
When you are renewing your registration, you will have the ability to update the number of years you have been in Girl Scouting both as an adult and a girl. GSUSA is finalizing a patch that will allow adults to self report their positions within a troop. Once we have the final release date we will be communicating with Troop Leaders to let them know the process to designate their positions in the new online system.

When will SU Managers have access to seeing registered troops, leaders, girls?
SU Registrars receive monthly membership reports. The SU Team may determine its own distribution protocol.

Will SUMs have access to the e-mail addresses of all registered in our SU - for broadcast messages and solicitation of volunteers to eliminate asking leaders to do more and reaching parents for SU tasks?
SU Registrars are currently receiving monthly reports that include the email addresses of all registered members within the Service Unit. A SUM can also ask their Field Director to run them a copy of the report that the SU Registrars receive.

I am a lifetime member and usually every year I'm not on the registration. Where can I check to make sure I am?
Activate your account and manage your own information. You need to check with the council to be sure we have your email in the database before you can activate your account. Contact heldesk@gscnc.org if you have questions.

How are refunds handled? For example, you register for an event and then cannot attend. Is a check mailed or refunded directly to customer?
As long as you meet the cancellation guidelines, refunds will be made directly back to your credit card.

What is the process to register a girl that is currently a Girl Scout after September 30?
After September 30, a parent will have to re-register the girl. She will then have to be transferred into the correct troop, which can be done on our website here: http://www.gscnc.org/Registrar_addlResources.html

When a troop wants to drop one girl and add a different girl, but registration is closed, will we still be able to register the girl?
You'll need to contact the council to make this happen but it can be done.

Is the Sept 30 a council deadline for registration or GSUSA's? If ours, can it move to at least October 15, or preferably October 31?
The September 30, 2010 deadline is GSUSA's registration deadline. GSCNC's On Time Registration will end on October 31, 2010. However, once the GSUSA deadline passes on September 30, the troop leader can no longer re-register the girl and it must be done by the parent. Unfortunately we cannot move this date.

Who is a "Data Coordinator"? Is this a new name of the "Registrar" or is this a GSCNC person?
A Data Coordinator is GSCNC staff. She works specifically with registration and can assist you with registration-related questions and concerns. They sit in our main office in Washington, DC.

How do troop leaders who were not able to register their troops online proceed now?
Contact your Data Coordinator or helpdesk@gscnc.org for assistance.

Encourage SUMs to buddy up people without Internet Access. Telling them to the council out based offices is totally unrealistic. Try "Find a Web Buddy" or "Find a registration buddy", otherwise they just won't do it.
Great idea! We will discuss how to make this happen in each service unit.

Will program registration provide reports for the troops records for each girl?
Not automatically but contact us with your specific request.

Why not set age limit on registration for program individuals?
We can restrict by grade level in some situations and will do that whenever we can.

It's very challenging for families to commit early to activities and events. We know we need them to sign up early, especially for those very popular activities. Also, some families' plans change and we've been able to simply "shift spots" if someone can't make it.

This will be a challenge and we will work with troops to make switches wherever we can. It is more time consuming for all of us so as much as possible, register the girls who will actually attend the event.

Program Registration - Can you add girls to registration?
As long as space is available in the program, you can continue to register girls.

Program Registration - Is a refund applied to the credit card or is it a GSCNC check?
Refunds will go back to the credit card that was charged.

Program Registration: Can the program push reminders via e-mail of program registrations?
Yes

How do you swap out girls who will be attending if one of the girls who was originally registered to attend can no longer attend?
You will have to contact the council and we can make the switch for you if it is possible.
