Dates:         August 10-12, 2015: Grades 3-5

                   August 13-14, 2015: Grades K-2

Times:         9:00am-4:00pm

About Camp Mariposa:
Camp Mariposa is a community outreach day camp designed as an introductory program for girls who are not currently Girl Scouts.  Girls must live in Burke, Fairfax Station, Lorton, or Springfield, VA. At camp, girls will learn about sun safety, explore science, make crafts, learn new songs, make new friends and ENJOY the OUTDOORS.

About our location:
Camp Mariposa is held at Camp Crowell, a Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital property in Oakton, VA. The camp offers outdoor activities in a park like setting.


Registration Fee: 

$25* for Grades K-2 

$35* for Grades 3-5 

Registration fees are nonrefundable

Check your mail for the acceptance letter with exact bus information.  The acceptance letter is mailed after registration and payment is received. 

We must have an adult ride each bus to and from camp as well as have an adult at each stop in the morning and afternoon.  If you are able to help please let us know on your application.  By volunteering to help with this important task your daughter may receive a discount on her camp fee.

Parent Opportunities to help:

Bus Chaperone/Unit Support

Bus Stop Monitor

An adult is needed at each stop in the morning and afternoon to secure safety for campers.  If you are able to help please let us know on your application.  By volunteering to help with this important task your daughter may receive a discount on her camp fee.

Unit Support

Parents of campers can help for a day or two or three.  If you are able to help please let us know on your application.  By volunteering to help with this important task your daughter may receive a discount on her camp fee.
