Caudle Leads Girl Scouts in the Shenandoah Region

Former Shawnee Council is now Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital

Martinsburg, WV- The former Shawnee Girl Scout Council joined the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital (GSCNC) as the Shenandoah Region, on October 1.  Leading the Shenandoah Regional office is Lorrie Caudle, a veteran Girl Scout membership manager with over 35 years in Girl Scouting. 

Caudle is located in the Girl Scout office in Martinsburg, WV and has a staff of 13 to support the more than 6,545 Girl Scouts and volunteers in this area. The region includes: Allegany and Washington counties in MD; Clarke, Warren, Page, Shenandoah and Frederick counties in VA; and Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, Hampshire, Hardy, Grant and Mineral counties in WV.

According to Caudle, "Girl Scouts will continue to thrive in our region, "This is an exciting opportunity. I know that Girl Scouting can change a girl's life, and I am looking forward to working with parents and volunteers to bring the best leadership experience to more girls in the Shenandoah Region." In addition to national and state parks throughout the greater metropolitan area, Girl Scouts in the Shenandoah Region will have access to eight Girl Scout camp properties, and thousands of programs like the Congressional Aide program, a Girl Scouts-only performance of the Washington Ballet's Nutcracker, Girl Scout Day at the National Air and Space Museum, DASHBoard Road Safety program, financial literacy workshops and environmental activities.  

Caudle has a B.A. degree from Northern Arizona University and recently graduated from the 2009 Leadership Loudoun. She has two children attending college.
