All of the proceeds from our cookie sale remain here. This revenue benefits girls, some of it directly to Girl Scout troop treasuries and some of it indirectly by subsidizing the cost of the Girl Scout program at the council level and general operation of council business.

 | Have you been to Brighton Wood? Thanks to the sale of 10,000 Samoas, the two NEW Troop lodges have new furniture and fixturing and the camp received a total upgrade of the water system with a new well and all new water lines. |
 | The ever popular Eco-Expo was enjoyed by over 400 Girl Scouts in 2010 celebrating Earth Day and explored exciting environmental activities! The event was held at Fort Washington National Park. Presenters from various federal resource management agencies, Girl Scout troops participating in the Girl Scouts Forever Green Community Action Project, and more participated in this unique opportunity made possible by the sale of 5143 boxes of Thin Mints |
 | DC Step Showcase is held each year for a fun day of activities, capped off by original Girl Scout step performances. This celebration of dance is open to Girl Scouts, families, friends and the community. Participation in 2010 brought 1800 together as performers and audience members, free of charge thanks to the sale of 4286 boxes of Do-Si-Dos |
