Basic Leadership Courses

Welcome, New Girl Scout Volunteer! Here you will find the two courses you need to complete your Basic Leadership training.  Both Girl Scouting 101 and 102 are required:

This is an online course from our national organization-Girl Scouts of the USA. It takes about 45 minutes to complete. To access the tutorial you will need to know:

This course is an online course from our local council - Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital and takes less than an hour to complete. To get started, you will need:

  • BOOK: A copy of Volunteer Essentials, which can be purchased from the shop for $3.00 or downloaded from our website and printed or used online.
