The Washington Ballet invites you to a very special performance of Septime Webre's The Nutcracker exclusively for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital.
A holiday must-see, Septime Webre's The Nutcracker transports you back in time to historic Washington with George Washington as the heroic Nutcracker. Glorious music, swirling snowflakes, magnificent sets and costumes have made this Nutcracker a DC tradition with raves from critics and sold-out crowds.
Don't miss this beloved DC tradition! Tickets for the Girl Scouts performance of The Nutcracker will become available October 10th at 10am.

Patch: GSCNC will offer a Nutcracker Fun Patch that will be available in GSCNC shops Mid-November. There are no requirements for this patch and it can be purchased through our shop later this fall. The Nutcracker fun patch can be purchased to help remind girls of their experience in Girl Scouts this holiday season or commemorate attendance of Nutcracker performances.
Fee: $35 per person includes shipping and tax (friends and family are welcome)

GEOLOGY ROCKS! Rocks Rock & Fossil Fun Patches with Lincoln Caverns

Discover the fun of finding fossils and exploring caves while earning two Patches! The Fossil Fun Patch engages Girl Scout Brownies in learning about earth's history of life through fossils. Girl Scout Brownies learn how to safely hunt for and collect fossils; finding one of their own to add to their collection. Dig into the study of geology while performing simple rock identification tests and do a fun map activity to learn about topographic maps to complete the requirements for the Rocks Rock Patch. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of the trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill patch requirements, indoor "slumber party" style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal.

Girl Scout Daisies will work on the 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals Journey earning the Birdbath and Robin Awards.
Girls will learn how to care for animals, and which animals make good pets. Also, learn how animals communicate and create an animal mask to take home!
