Troop 5227 at Great Wolfe Lodge Troop 5227 -End Of The Year Trip & Ceremony

Troop 5227 went to Great Wolfe Lodge for their end of the year trip. They had 10 Girl Scout families and friends attend. The scouts and parents had an awesome time.  They enjoyed the waterpark, rock climbing, Magi Quest, story time, Oliver Time Channel, XD Movie Theatre and the outdoor pool.  The scouts earned their patches by participating in the Girl Scout Wolfe Walk, Scavenger hunt and completed an arts/craft at the Cub Club.  They also had their end of the year ceremony which included a celebration for Jasmine Payton who has bridged to a Junior. Our Chalet Our Chalet

On a recent trip to Europe, a local scouting family toured Our Chalet in Adelboden, Switzerland, one of the five WAGGGS world centers.  The historic lodge was beautiful and the view over the valley and into the Alps was breathtaking!  The girls & mom represent Springfield troops 1781, 5881 & 1403. Troop 2855, 2809, 2911 & 2920 had fun traveling to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania for their end of the year Girl Scout trip. Submitted by Mary Martin.

Troop 2911, 2809 and 2920 returned with smiles after marching with Congressman Eleanor Norton Holmes in a 4th of July Parade in the Palaside Parade in NW DC. Submitted by Mary Martin.

Girl Scout Troop 6618 Helping Homeless Pets

The homeless pets of Southern Maryland are getting some human help. Recently Girl Scout Troop 6618, of Service Unit 10-11 in St. Mary's County, donated new dog and cat toys to Second Hope Rescue. Now the dogs under the organization’s care have sturdy rope toys to play with. And the cats have catnip filled toys to purr with. Submitted by Laura Essex.
