History and Archives Committee

The Archives Committee is charged by the Board of Directors of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital with preserving and protecting the documents and materials which reflect the history of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital and its preceding entities, and with fostering knowledge and appreciation of the rich history of this Council and the Girl Scout movement.

History and Archives Committee members:

Hold monthly work days to manage the GSCNC Archives Collection
Assist with the creation and presentation of programs and program materials with historic themes
Curate archival exhibits at GSCNC offices, events, and Annual Meetings.

The History and Archives Committee meets at 10:30AM every second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the GSCNC DC Office. Current activities are chronicled in the "GSCNC Girl Scout History Project" blog. (Include link to http://gshistory.com)
