SERVICE UNITS

The Service Unit provides the setting within which the primary services of a council take place, organizing troops/groups and providing direct services to girls and Girl Scout leaders.

Each Service Unit has a SERVICE UNIT MANAGER (SUM) who is accountable to the Field Director for developing and managing Girl Scouting in the Service Unit. The Service Unit Manager is the chief volunteer administrator for Girl Scouting in a Service Unit.
