Day Camp - Burke Lake Adventures

BURKE LAKE ADVENTURES:

 LOCATION:  Fairfax Station, VA

DATES AND TIMES OF PROGRAM:  July 22–26, 2013 (9:00 AM-2:00 PM)

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM:

Get ready for your summer adventure! Explore the outdoors in a shady park setting with all Girl Scouts participating in outdoor themed activities and centers of crafts, outdoor cooking, songs and games. Girl Scouts in grades 4 & 5 may participate in an optional overnight camping. AIDES will expand their leadership skills, earn an IP and participate in overnight camping. Further programming information will be available on our website.

Girl Scouts Grades K-5 $105
Program Aides- Grades 6+ $0
Pixies/Rangers $40
Staff Children: First child $10; additional children $40

GIRL LEADERSHIP ROLES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Burke Lake Camp Aides are not participating in an Aide-in-Training Program or in Program Aide Training. Service at Burke Lake can go towards the leadership requirements of the Program Aide Patch/Pin, service hours for the Silver Trefoil or other service needed for GS recognitions. The hours can also go towards a variety of other leadership and service awards. The Aide Scout should talk with her Troop Advisor to determine how to apply the hours..

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Please use the online health forms available on our website. 
Campers are selected through a lottery system. 
Application Windows:
Campers: March 1 - March 31;
Program AIDE (grade 6+): February 15 - March 15

PLACEMENT DEADLINE:
Campers will be notified via e-mail on April 15th. Teen Aides will be notified via e-mail by April 30.
