Archery

Girls have the opportunity to practice their archery skills at the ranges at Camp Potomac Woods and Camp Coles Trip!

Troops may reserve either range for three hours. The range can accommodate a group of 10-15 girls; five girls can shoot at a time. All equipment is on site and included with range reservation. Reservation is free of charge! Troops may not reserve GSCNC archery equipment for use on other sites.

To reserve an archery range for your Troop, please fill out the Archery Range Request form below and send it to Celia Overby at coverby@gscnc.org or to the mailing address at the top of the form.

In order for Troops to reserve a range, they will need to have an archery-trained adult. Qualifications are listed in Safety-Wise, page 95. Archery training is available through GSCNC and leaders may search for courses at register.gscnc.org/training in the "Outdoor" section. New courses will be posted as they are organized.

RESOURCE LIST
As volunteers are trained, we will ask them if they want to be part of a resource list. This list will enable Troops without an archery-trained adult to request someone to help teach their Troop at one of the GSCNC ranges. If you are looking for an archery certified adult to assist your troop or if you are currently trained, meet Safety-Wise qualifications, and would like to be on our resource list, please contact Celia Overby at coverby@gscnc.org or 202.237.1670 x205.

Formatta Forms

To use the e-forms you must first install Formatta Filler. If you've never used Formatta, you need to install the software on your PC computer. You'll need to update Formatta Filler if you have a version prior to December 18, 2007. Note: Make sure that you backup all files in your \My Documents\My Forms before upgrading your Formatta Filler.

PC computer users: For first time installation click here.

Installation Instructions:

Click on I Accept to load or upgrade Formatta Filler
Click Next
Enter Name, Email and GSCNC to register
Click Submit at bottom of the page
Click Ok for confirmation
Click Close to complete the installation
Click Yes to leave process

If you haven’t upgraded since December 18, 2007, please use the following steps to upgrade Formatta to Version 7

Upgrade Instructions

1. Connect to the Internet
2. Open Formatta Filler (click on Start, All Programs and Formatta from your computer’s program list)
3. Click on Help on the menu bar.
4. In the drop down menu that opens, point to Auto Update and click on Filler when the submenu opens
5. The updates will be downloaded and you’ll be prompted to close the Formatta Filler window.
6. Formatta Filler is now updated.
