Summer Employment
Are you looking for a great way to spend the summer of 2007? What about Girl Scout camp? We are looking for camp counselors for all three of our summer resident camps. Create memories that will last a lifetime; gain valuable new skills; and work, live and play in the great outdoors. You can make a difference!
For more information, visit
www.gscnc.org/camping/resident.

We are also seeking staff for our summer day and evening camps throughout the council. There are wonderful opportunities to work as Camp Directors, First Aiders, and Unit Leaders, or for girls to do Girl Scout Silver Award Projects. Email kbenison@gscnc.org if you are interested.

Where Will You Find the Magic?
It is not too late to apply for a summer adventure.
Please visit www.gscnc.org/camping/summerresidentcamp/ for more information about Summer Camp program opportunities for girls entering grades 1 through 12.

Letterboxing
Letterboxing is now at GSCNC camps! Letterboxing is a combined walk in the woods and scavenger hunt. It combines problem - solving, art and exploring to appeal to all girls in the troop. Letterboxes - typically a box with a stamp, stamp pad and logbook - are hidden in various locations with clues written and published so that others can find the box.
For more information about letterboxing, click here or contact Kendra Reinmann, Camping Specialist, at kreinamann@gscnc.org or 202-237-1670 or 800-523-7898 ext. 209.

Archery
Girls now have opportunities to practice their archery skills at the new archery range at Camp Potomac Woods. Troops may reserve the range by submitting an Archery Range Request form. For more information about Archery at GSCNC, click here or contact Celia Overby, Camping Specialist, at coverby@gscnc.org or 202-237-1670 or 800-523-7898 ext. 205.
