Our Girl Scout Council The Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital serves the Washington metropolitan area, including the District of Columbia and areas of Maryland and Northern Virginia. The diverse full-time staff of 112 and seasonal part-time staff of over 300 collectively serve approximately 90,000 members. Our council's main office is located in Northwest Washington, DC, while staff in the 5 satellite offices throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia serve the outlying areas.
