Send us your information (name, address,
phone, e-mail, age) if you would like to become a CHICA.
There are several ways you can participate in Girl Scout activities
as a CHICA.
If you are looking for an individual experience, complete your
membership to GSCNC and you are eligible to participate in events throughout
the year such as Celebrando Latinas, Dia del Nino, and other Program
Events according to your age level. Stay posted to our website for new
and upcoming opportunities or contact the Linguistic Outreach Specialist
in your area.
If you would like to be a part of a group of CHICAS and other
girls that meet regularly to do activities, you can join an existing
troop in your area or start a new one.
To find out what groups are meeting in your area, contact the Linguistic
Outreach Specialist listed below for your area. If there is not a group
in your school or community, it is up to YOU to take leadership and
get a group started. Just get a group of 5 or more other CHICAS, friends,
girls, and decide when, where, and how often you would like to meet.
You will also need 2 adults (18 years or older) to serve as leaders
for your group. Ask your mother, grandmother, teacher, coach, church
member, whoever you think would be a great role model and enjoying spending
time with your group of CHICAS. If you are having trouble finding a
leader, you can ask your LOS for help with this as well. The adults
can see our volunteer site at http://www.gscnc.org/avd/become.html
for information about how to become a GSCNC volunteer.
