

Congressional AideCelebrate 39 Years of Service on the Hill! Congressional Aide Participants: “I was able to meet so many amazing people and learn so much about what goes on inside Capitol Hill…unless you actually work or are involved in the daily life of Capitol Hill, you will have no idea just how much they work to make things happen in this country. It opened my eyes up to how different politics look on tv and how they look in a Congressman's office.” Assignments vary among offices, but typical tasks include answering phones, sorting mail, communicating with other offices, and welcoming guests to the office. Due to the high demand for spaces in this program, Congressional Aide is an opportunity available exclusively to Girl Scout Ambassadors in GSCNC. 2013 Congressional Aide applications are due March 1, 2013 by 5pm. A complete Congressional Aide Application includes: Please note: All application materials should arrive in one mailing. If this is not possible, you may send two mailings. The first should include your application packet, resume, and Health History form. The second should include both of your letters of reference. Please do not send items individually, as this will increase the chance that they will become separated from the rest of your application.
