GSCNC Troops conduct the Girl Scout Cookie Sale from December 20 through March 27, 2011. The sale is broken down into three parts:

  • Initial orders are taken from December 20 to January 3- early bird Friends & Family order taking. Publicity Launch January 3 and initial order taking continues until January 22, 2011
  • Order taking continues until the end of the sale!
  • Booth Sales from February 18 to March 27.

Eight varieties of cookies are available and sell for $4.00 per box. The troop proceeds for every box sold is $0.65 or $0.73 cents depending on the incentive plan chosen and volume achieved by the troop

The best way is through your local Girl Scout Troop! If a Girl Scout does not stop by your home, you can find cookies during the month of March at troop conducted booth sales all over the council area. Check our Cookie Locator to identify a booth sale in your neighborhood..

The 5 Skills and Girl Scout Leadership Outcomes

Everything girls do in Girl Scouting is designed to help them grow into leaders of Courage, Confidence, and Character. The 5 Skills girls learn through the Girl Scout Cookie Program are an important ingredient in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

  2. Decision Making: Deciding on an incentive plan and how to use their funds, builds Critical Thinking skills.
  3. Money Management: Gaining valuable and Practical Life Skills in financial literacy
  4. People Skills: Girl Scouts develop Healthy Relationships and Conflict Resolution skills she can use throughout her life.
  5. Business Ethics: Reinforcing the Positive Values she is developing as a Girl Scout
