Calling all history reporters! Learn what it was like to living in Washington, DC over 200 years ago by interviewing "Maria Nourse" and exploring her home. History reporters will use their writing skills by practicing with a quill pen and creating a historical story.
Includes all craft materials, snack, breakfast, and Dumbarton House participation patch.
Fees: $30 girl, $12 adult

Historical Toymaker: Overnight Adventure

Become a history detective! Explore Dumbarton House to learn about the daily lives of children during the Federal period. History detectives will also discover and create their own 19th century toys and entertainments.
Includes all craft materials, snack, breakfast, and Dumbarton House participation patch.

General Program Information
- Registrations should be made at least 1 month prior to program date.
- All programs provide a snack; please notify staff of any food allergies.
- The Museum’s programs are available to all Scouts as the hands-on programs are developed to connect with all learning styles. Given enough notification, Museum Educators can adapt programs to fit the specific needs of your Scouts. The Museum is wheelchair accessible.
- Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to scheduled program date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to scheduled program.
