Come spend a Saturday afternoon at Twin Oaks Riding Academy learning how to care for and be safe around horses. All participants will receive a mini riding lesson to learn proper position, steering, and control of the horse. Helmets are provided by Twin Oaks. Girls will groom the horses and do a barn chore to care for the horses. They will make a craft to take home that teaches them about colors and breeds of horses. A special horse patch will be awarded to each girl.
Fees: $45 All participants receive a horse patch.

Looking for an enjoyable way to wrap-up the 100th year of Girl Scouting? Then this is the event for you! Get together with your sister Girl Scouts and earn GSCNC's 100 Ways to Celebrate the 100th patch. Girls will have the chance to do a scavenger hunt around camp, make S'mores and other fun things as they work their way through the 100 Ways to Celebrate the 100th patch program.

Terrapin Adventures
Girl Scout Adventure Day
Who: Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors When: March 23, 24 2012 Two sessions each day: 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Where: Terrapin Adventures 8600 Foundry Street Savage, MD 20763
Clip in and take off on a high flying adventure. Try all 32 of our extreme elements. Balance high above the ground on our High Ropes Challenge Course. Glide through the forest on our 330 foot Zip Line screaming all the way. Try the challenging rates of the Terrapin Tower including head first down! Defy gravity as you experience 2G's of force on our Giant Swing! Learn how to reduce your carbon footprint. Participants need to be at least 8 years old, at least 4 feet tall, and between 70 and 275 pounds.
Fee: $51.45 per participant, regardless of age. Tagalong - free Girls may purchase a patch at our store.

Sing Into Spring

When: Saturday, April 6, 2013 2:00-4:00 p.m. Where: Camp Winona, Hughesville, MD
Come out to Camp Winona for a FREE afternoon of fun and song! Sing into spring with the GSCNC Singalong Service! Take part in action songs and games along with your Girl Scout sisters from across the council. Bring your favorite Girl Scout song to share. Pack a picnic lunch to snack on before singing. This event will take place rain or shine. Please register enough adults to meet the Safety-Wise ratio.

House of Bounce: Lock-In

An All Nighter starting at 8:30pm and ending at 8:30am the next morning with Bouncing, Pizza, Craft Time (you Supply the craft - great way to knock out some badges), Movie(s) with Popcorn & Candy, then wake up to a hot breakfast. Adjustments can be made for older girls.
Fees:
Girl: $22 ($16 for those not staying the night) Adult: $15 (req - 1 to 5 ratio) This is all inclusive unless additional food choices are requested for adults

Operation Secret Slumber International Spy Museum
Who: Girl Scout Juniors and Cadettes
When: Saturday, March 23 through Sunday, March 24, 2013, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Where: International Spy Museum 800 F Street NW Washington, DC 20004
The Museum doors have been locked for the night, but in the shadows a group of exclusive recruits stand ready to begin a night of top-secret KidSpy training. During the night, you will transform yourself through disguise, make and break secret codes, uncover important secrets, interrogate real spies, and hunt for a mole within your ranks! At the same time, the adults lurking nearby will be kept on their toes with their own super-clandestine mission. As day breaks, enemy agents will be exposed in a dramatic finale, KidSpy agents and adults will reclaim their "real" identities and this adventure-filled mission will be accomplished.
Fees: $105 per person Includes exclusive overnight access to the spy museum and special missions, SPY patch, evening snack, breakfast, take-home goody bag, and admission to the Museum on Sunday. Bring a flashlight, sleeping bag, air mattress or pad, pillow, and sense of adventure. The ticket price is a special reduced price for Girls Scout troops only.

Dine-Around Series
Are you working toward your Gold Award? Have you already earned your Gold Award? If so, we'd love to have you join us for one of our Dine-Arounds this season.
What's a Dine-Around? Dine-Arounds are informal dinners, brunches, teas or other events that are hosted by Women's Advisory Board members at their homes or businesses. They are a unique chance to gain insight from successful women and will prove to be an amazing networking session. Please note there is no cost to attend a Dine-Around.
