On November 5, 2017, in Washington D.C., Girl Scouts in partnership with Pepco launched an event to get girls to embrace STEM-Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The day-long program introduced the new Girl Scout STEM Journeys.
The event featured a morning leadership experience for teen Girl Scouts, and an afternoon session with teen-led stations for younger girls called: It’s All About STEM. The activity stations sampled requirements from the new STEM Journeys: Think Like an Engineer, Think Like a Programmer, and Think Like a Citizen Scientist. The younger girls were given a STEM passport to record their activities as they explored science, technology, engineering and math!
