Girl Scout Cookies are back in the Greater Washington Region
WASHINGTON— Get ready to kick-off another new year with Girl Scout Cookies. The Girl Scout Cookie Program plays a big role in transforming girls into G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, Leaders)™as they learn essential skills like: money management, goal setting, decision making, people skills and business ethics.
In addition to going door-to-door and setting up Cookie booths, Girl Scouts can create an online store, to reach friends and family down the block or across the country. Customers can opt for girl delivery until January 12, 2019, and direct shipping is always available. The online channel is just one more way for girls to gain entrepreneurial skills to finance their good work in the community, and get a sense of what it means to be successful in business. Girl Scouts in this region sold 4.6million boxes of cookies.
This year’s Cookie lineup includes returning favorites:Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Savannah Smiles,Girl Scout S’mores™,and gluten-free Toffee-tastics™.Girl Scout Cookies are $4.00 a box, with the exception of our specialty cookies, Girl Scout S’moresand gluten-free Toffee-tastic, which are $5.00 a box.
Beginning February 15, customers can visit cookie booths at local
supermarkets and businesses throughout our region. It’s easy to find a
Cookie booth near you by going online,www.girlscoutcookies.organd
enter your zip code to find a booth near you. All proceeds from the
Girl Scout Cookie Program stay in the local community to support Girl
Scouting in this region, including Girl Scout troop community service
projects, travel experiences, and outdoor camping adventures.
