Go Batty with us this spring, learning about geocaching and bats at the same time. Meet the requirements to earn the Geocacher Badge & Going Batty ‘Make Your Own Badge’ or Patch. During your fun-filled visit, learn to use geo-slang, track a Travel Bug, make trade items, and go on a scout themed geocache hunt. Girls will also learn how to use a GPS unit and find coordinates. Learn about the importance of bats in ecosystems where they live. Play a game, create a poster, and make a craft that will help remind scouts and others, to be good neighbors to bats everywhere. Each troop will build a bat house to put up in their community. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill badge/patch requirements, indoor “slumber party” style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal.

Cost: $46.00/Junior; $46.00/Adult
