Do you love buildings – drawing houses, building structures, designing a pillow fort?
This multi-series architectural program intends to engage students in the design process used by architects to build scale models of habitable spaces of their own imagining. At each session, the young architects will work in teams to learn processes and techniques to progress their ideas into a final design.
Design and presentation skills will be fostered throughout the series in preparation for a science fair where participants will be able to staff a booth and share their new skills and experiences with visitors.
Architecture is one of the most exciting fields that not only uses all of the STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) but also encourages creative thinking through art and design skills.
