Enjoy all of the hijinks and hilarity of the original classic 1963 film played in its entirety while listening to the award-winning score, composed by the brilliant film composer Henry Mancini, as it is performed live onstage by a full orchestra. Directed by Blake Edwards while at the height of his career, The Pink Panther made Peter Sellers an international star with his hilarious characterization of the inept Chief Inspector Clouseau—which he recreated in four subsequent films in the extensive Panther series. In this performance, the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, accompanies the projected film, adding an exciting new dimension to the critically acclaimed score and the film itself. Follow Inspector Clouseau as he bumbles through Italy’s exclusive resorts in a hilarious attempt to apprehend the notorious jewel thief who is stalking the Pink Panther diamond. The Pink Panther is preserved by soundtrack album was awarded a Grammy Hall of Fame Award®. Experience the magic of symphonic cinema with this intriguing fusion of film and live music.
