Fall Product Timeline

The Fall Product Sale is a council-sponsored program that combines educational activities with money earning opportunities for the troops. The Fall Sale is directed toward family and friends- those closest to Girl Scouting and enables troops to earn start up money by selling magazine subscriptions as well as nuts and candy.

Thank you for your support of the girls, troops and the council by purchasing or participating in the Fall Product Sale!

Focuses on leadership, collaboration and exploring personal values through discovering, connecting and taking action to help girls explore their future potential

  • 5 skills girls learn through the programs
  •         Goal Setting
  •         Decision Making
  •         Money Management
  •         People Skills
  •         Business Ethics

Online learning activities designed to enhance the troop program activity pieces

Setting goals is the key to a successful sale Troops and girls who set goals earn big. Talk about what your plans are for the fall and what the funding would be needed to make it happen. Give your girls the opportunity to fully experience Product Sale Programming and don’t skip the Goal Setting and Decision Making skill building!  Fall Product isn’t as simple as saying “sell 350 boxes of cookies” since the product line is varied. But by leveraging all product options, the girls can discover, connect and take action to meet their troop’s funding needs.

As an example a Troop with 10 girls100 Club

  •         If each girl sells…
  • 3 QSP orders
  • 20 nut items
  • 1 address booklet
  •         Troop earns $268

New in 2013, we are introducing the 100 Club!  Join by selling 100 combined items from Ashdon Farms and QSP.

The Fall Product Sale Program is managed in the Nut-e web based system by Troop, Service Unit and Association volunteers. It is also the system used by council to order product as well as rewards. The Service Unit Fall Product Chair will be sure the troop is provided login information. Registered girls names will be uploaded prior to the sale start date though newly registered girls can be easily added as they join your troop.  Use the links below for the Troop Nut-e User manual (which is also accessible from within the system); the web link address for Nut-e as well as specifics on troop deposit procedures.

Ashdon Farms offers sixteen delicious nut and candy selections.

  • These items will be sold in a three tiered pricing structure of $6.00, $7.00 and $8.00. The product is of extremely high quality and will have 2 items offered in decorative collectors tins.

QSP Offers a Wide Variety of Products

  • It’s not just magazines! Magazine and books make QSP an easy sell. With the QSP program, those same magazine sales can benefit GSCNC with 45% of the purchase price from every sale going directly to council, not the publishers.
All Fall Sale options in one envelope and there are two ways for troops to earn proceeds

  •         Taking orders for magazines
  • Customers can order online or via paper forms
  • Completion of Address Booklets
  •         Nut and candy items
  • Girls take orders via a nut order card or as online Nut Promises and deliver product

Customers Pay Up Front

  •         Collect all money when orders are placed
  •         Once product is delivered, you are done
Girls can invite family and friends to support

GSCNC through online sales and promises, and it takes less than 15 minutes to get started!  Girls complete the interactive learning activity and enter email addresses to allow friends and family to shop online for magazines and to make "Nut Promises".

When a girl sets up her online email program, she can offer nut and candy items to their family and friends that will be receiving emails. She can select all of her email contacts to receive the offer to make "Nut Promises" or just a few.  Once a "Nut Promise" is placed by a customer, the Girl Scout will need to follow up to collect the payment and to deliver the products. Girls will be able to ask friends and family via email for "Promise" orders on Nuts & Candy items!  Girls must collect money and deliver product, so we suggest the customer be close by!

Magazines are paid for online with a credit card and will arrive to the customer sooner than orders placed on the paper order forms.

It’s easier than you think!

  • Registration is now closed for the 2013 Fall Product Sale...please check back Summer 2014!
  • The girls complete the interactive learning activity and set up her profile.
  • Order your family’s subscriptions easily online and invite friends and family to shop online by entering or uploading their email addresses
  • All major credit cards accepted
  • Subscriptions start faster
  • No paper forms to complete
  • At the end of the sale, print the DETAILED ORDER REPORT and turn it in with all your other orders (paper QSP and Ashdon Farms treats) with payment to your troop

Girls will receive the Online patch for entering 12 or more email addresses and earn proceeds for their troop for each magazine subscription or nut/candy order sold online.  Additionally, girls will receive credit toward their incentives for online orders and “Nut Promises.” Girls can check back throughout the sale to track their progress and enter additional email addresses to meet their goals.  At the end of the program, girls/parents will receive a reminder email to print the Detailed Order Report showing magazines sold online and "Nut Promises."  Just turn in the Detailed Order Report to the Troop Fall Product Sale Manager along with your other orders by the troop deadline date. Detailed Order Reports will not be accepted after the deadline date so get the orders in on time for full credit!

Fall sale is an easy way for troops to earn start up funds

  • Traditional Plan is when girls work towards fun incentive items to be awarded for individual girl achievement. The troop earns:
  •         10% on all sales
  • Nut and candy items and online Nut Promises
  • Online and paper magazine orders
  •         $2 for each completed and unique Address Booklet
  • Additional Proceeds is when the troop chooses, instead of Incentive Items, as a team to earn more troop proceeds.  All level troops can choose to work for additional proceeds instead of incentive items but remember, it’s a GIRL decision and MAJORITY rules!
  •         15% on all sales but no incentives (Patches will be Awarded)
  • Nut and candy items and  online Nut Promises
  • Online and paper magazine orders
  •         $2 for each completed and unique Address Booklet

The troops have the opportunity to earn an additional 2% regardless if they are taking incentives or not. Troops must have an average of $125 per girl selling to earn the tiered- proceeds incentive.

Associations with a 3% increase over 2012 sales volume will receive 1% proceeds on ALL sales by Association Troops.
