The community-based summer camp is part of the Girl Scouts' outreach to families with limited incomes. In addition to traditional summer camp fun, Girl Scouts lead demonstrations designed to show girls ways to protect the environment and reduce their energy consumption. WHO: Vice President of Corporate Relations for Washington Gas, Roberta Sims will join Girl Scouts at Camp FUNShine for an experimental demonstration of how natural gas is produced in our environment. WHAT: Washington Gas Air Quality patch program fun, hands-on experiments. Fizzy Gas Experiment - Girls will learn that there are many ways that natural gas is produced in our environment. In a hands-on experiment, girls will simulate the production of gas using balloons and baking soda.
