Girl Scouts Forever Green

Girl Scouts Forever Green began in 2008 as troop projects only, but has expanded to encompass many green initiatives. For more information on specific parts of Girl Scouts Forever Green, please choose one of the following:

Troop Projects
These are the core of Forever Green. Using their leadership skills, girls should complete a project that implements some sort of sustainable, lasting change in their school.

Plastic Waste Challenge
As a council, we are challenging every girl in every troop in the entire council to take a pledge to reduce plastic waste by using a reusable water bottle or grocery bag and tracking how many times from February 1 though February 28 they have used their bottle or bag.

Earth Hour Challenge
This year Girl Scouts Forever Green challenges all Girl Scouts to participate in Earth Hour, showing that they too believe in a greener world and a better tomorrow!

Troop Project Mentors
Are you an adult working in an environmental field? Are you interested in helping empower girls to "green" their schools? Consider being a Girl Scouts Forever Green troop project mentor.
