Gold Award Workshops
Thinking about earning your Gold? Want to know more about the process before you dive in? Come and learn about the Girl Scout Gold Award and develop your take action project idea at a Workshop led by a Girl Scouts Nation's Capital Gold Award Panel Member.
We have updated our Gold Award Workshops to include a new interactive curriculum that will help Girl Scouts develop their project ideas into high quality take action projects! Part one of the workshop is available on our website now in the form of the Gold Award Online Tutorial that walks girls through the Gold Award process. The new interactive, in-person, part two of the Gold Award Workshop will be introduced in early January 2015. While attending an in-person workshop is not mandatory, it is the absolute best way to get ready to go for the Gold Award!
If you are a Girl Scout thinking about the Gold Award and wanting to know more about the process, it is time to check out Part 1 of our workshop--the Gold Award Online Tutorial--and read The Gold Standard. For inspiration on project ideas, take a look at the 2014 Award Yearbook. Once you have your issue area or project idea in mind, it is time to attend the in-person, Part 2 of the workshop to develop you idea into a high quality take action project.
See registration information below. As worksheets and handouts will be given to girls at the Workshop, all girls must register so that we can prepare the correct number of materials.
Please note: Unless otherwise stated on the registration website, all workshops listed on this page are for GIRLS ONLY.
