Gold Award PanelThe Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award that a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador may earn. For many young women, the leadership skills, organizational skills, and sense of community and commitment that come from "going for the Gold" set the foundation for a lifetime of active citizenship. The New Regional Gold Award Panel System In Fall 2009, GSCNC introduced a new Regional Panel system for the Gold Award. This new system has allowed us to provide girls with more individual attention, and to create opportunities for girls to interact with the Panel. Each of the six Panels meets once per month to review proposals and engage in discussion with girls. What do Gold Award Panel members do?
Where do the Panels meet?
Panel training sessions for new and returning members will be held in September 2011. If you have questions about the Panel trainings, please email Page Yarborough at pyarborough@gscnc.org
