Portraits of Girl ScoutingThe Portraits of Girl Scouting art contest at the National Portrait Gallery was a great success thanks to Girl Scouts around the Council who submitted their works of art. Using a variety of mediums, including video, quilting, chalk, crayon, pencil, oil paint, sculpture and photographyany, girls created artwork that depicts Girl Scouting and what it means to be a Girl Scout today. On March 6, ten featured artists had their artwork displayed National Portrait Gallery as part of their National Women's History month celebration. The girls even met Juliette Gordon Low and her famous portrait! Beginning in April, the artwork will be part of a a traveling display at the Girl Scout offices around the Council.
