In Fabergé’s Workshop:  Girl Scout Junior Jeweler Badge

Explore sumptuous jewelry and fanciful objects including those created by imperial Russia’s legendary jeweler, Peter Carl Fabergé.  Then create a Fabergé-style gold box to hold your personal jewelry collections.

  • $8 per Girl Scout, 3 chaperones free, $15 additional adults.
  • Program is appropriate for girls ages 6-12. 
  • Completes 3 of the 5 steps required to earn the Girl Scout Junior Jeweler Badge.
  • Tuesday-Saturdays and select Sundays, year-round, 10 am-12 pm or 2:30-3:30 pm.

Garden Journeys:  Girl Scout Junior Gardener Badge

Discover the beauty, tranquility and whimsy of Hillwood’s Japanese-style Garden and French Parterre.  Then design your own dream garden by creating a miniature garden diorama.

  • $8 per Girl Scout, 3 chaperones free, $15 additional adults.
  • Program is appropriate for girls ages 6-12. 
  • Completes 3 of the 5 steps required to earn the Girl Scout Junior Gardener Badge.

Flower Power!:  Girl Scout Junior Flowers Badge

Go on a flower hunt, see dazzling orchids in bloom, and create flower artwork.

  • $8 per Girl Scout, 3 chaperones free, $15 additional adults.
  • Program is appropriate for girls ages 6-12. 
  • Completes all 5 steps required to earn the Girl Scout Junior Flowers Badge.
  • Tuesday-Saturdays and select Sundays, March-October, 10 am-12 pm or 2:30-3:30 pm.

Mother/ Daughter Outing

Explore at your own pace with a self-guided exploration of the mansion and gardens.  Then participate in an art workshop together with your choice of activity: adorning fancy party hats, decorating jeweled picture frames, or creating decorative party plates.

  • $8 per person
  • Tuesday-Saturdays and select Sundays, year-round.

Bridging Ceremony Location

The half-moon bridges in the Japanese-style Garden are a beautiful setting for bridging ceremonies.  After your ceremony you are welcome to continue celebrating with tea in the Café or a picnic on the nearby lawn.

  • $50 per troop
  • 40 person maximum (includes Girl Scouts and accompanying family and friends)
  • Tuesday-Saturdays and select Sundays, March-October

Girl Scout Tea in Hillwood’s Café

Enhance your visit to Hillwood with an elegant afternoon tea in the Café.  Enjoy scrumptious scones, finger sandwiches and dainty pastries after participating in a Girl Scout program, or exploring the mansion and gardens at your own pace on a self-guided visit.

  • $19.20 per person (includes tax and gratuity)
  • 10 person minimum
