GSCNC EQUIPMENT CENTERS

Troops may rent camping equipment from the Dorr Avenue or Winona Equipment Centers. Both centers carry basic cooking equipment, tents, ground covers, shelters, tarps, mallets, and specialized cooking equipment. The Dorr Avenue Equipment Center also carries backpacking equipment.

All equipment is rented to GSCNC troops/groups only on a first-come, first-served basis. To meet your troop camping needs your Camp Equipment Rental Form (B290) should be received by the Equipment Center no earlier than three months prior to your trip and no later than three weeks prior to your trip. You will be contacted, within a week of receipt of the form, to confirm your rental request and the location, pickup and return dates for your equipment.

With three weeks prior notice, arrangements can be made to have the equipment delivered to the Connecticut Avenue office or any of the out-based offices. Evening hours at one of the Equipment Centers can also be arranged with three weeks prior notice.
