Who:Girl Scouts of All Age
Maryland Sled Dog Adventures LLC offers hands on programs teaching Girl Scouts about dog sledding and sled dogs. Girl Scouts will work closely with our team of well behaved sled dogs harnessing the dogs and learning all about sled dogs including: what the dogs eat; how the dogs are trained; the positions on a dog team; the equipment used in dog sledding; famous dog sledding events and races; and the commands used in dog sledding. Each girl will take a short (1/2 mile) individual ride with our team of sled dogs.
This program fulfills badge requirements for:
Dog Mushing Badge, Fairbanks Farthest North Council, (1), (2), (3), (4), (8), and (10)
Dog Mushing Try It, Susitna Council, Anchorage, Brownies, (1), (2), (5), (6), and (7)
Dog Sledding Badge, Susitna Council, Anchorage, Juniors, (1), (2), (3), (6), (9), (10)
Mush on IPP! Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys: Skill builders (1), (2); Career Exploration (1); Technology (1), (2), (3), or (4); Service Projects (to be completed independently).
Council badges are available directly from the council. Fun patch is included with the program.

Fees: Girl $50 Adult $0 Tagalong $50
Other (add-ons, patches, food, etc): Fee includes fun patch and light snack.
