New Members to Troop
Q: How will new members be added?
A: A leader will be able to add members new to Girl Scouting to her troop using the online system. You will click the Add Girl or Add Adult link in Troop Management. Fill-in the required fields and click Create Profile. Choose the membership product and click Add to Cart. Complete the additional information until the registration is moved to the Shopping Cart. If you have more than one person to add to the troop, you can click My Troops to add another new member. You must pay for the membership when the new member is first added to the troop. The system will not allow you to retrieve the member's information once you have logged out of the system. If you receive a duplicate customer warning when creating the new member, contact your SU Registrar to see if they have previously been in Girl Scouts. If you log out of the system before paying for the new member, please contact one of the Database Coordinators so they can add the profile back to your troop.
Q: On a registration form, it asks for number of years as a Girl Scout. When a new girl starts as a Daisy, should this number be 0, indicating previous years as a Girl Scout, or 1, indicating she will be a Girl Scout during the coming year?
A: The number reflects the number of years completed so the first year a girl or adult ever registers, the number of years in Girl Scouting should be 0 years.
