GSCNC Patches & Council's Owns

GSCNC has developed additional recognitions which supplement those offered by GSUSA. These patch programs and Council's Own awards offer girls the opportunity to learn about subjects as an extension of Try-Its, badges and interest project patches; are of local interest only or support focused goals of the council. These recognitions were created by GSCNC, but girls from any council are welcome to earn the listed recognitions.

Patches - includes patch programs, participation patches and kit patches

Council's Owns - includes Capital Currency; Looking In, Reaching Out and Roots and Shoots

Troop's Owns - A Troop's Own badge or Interest Project Patch can be designed any Girl Scout Junior troop or Cadette/Senior/Ambassador troop. You can find guidelines on creating a Troop's Own badge or IP here.
