GSCNC Insignia

Girls in any council are welcome to earn the recognitions listed on this page.

Council's Own recognitions and Patch Programs offer girls the opportunity to learn about subjects that are an extension of Try-Its, Badges and Interest Project Patches, are of local interest only or support focused goals of the council. New programs are announced in Capital Notes when they become available. Copies of these programs are available from the Information Center info@gscnc.org or downloadable from this page. Once requirements are completed, patches can be ordered from our Girl Scout Shop and are usually listed on the Blue Order Form.

A "Troop's Own" badge or interest project can be designed by any Junior or Cadette/Senior Girl Scout troop. You can find guidelines on creating a Troop's Own badge or IP here.

GSCNC has several Council's Own awards. These official recognitions can be worn on the front of the uniform.

GSCNC Patches are worn on the back of the uniform.

GSCNC President’s Award in Honor of Ethel G. Harvey recognizes girls who demonstrate leadership in the council and promoted the growth of GSCNC.

GSCNC Silver Trefoil Award for Service recognizes girls who have performed 100 hours of service to the local, national and international community.

Court of Awards lists girls in GSCNC who told us that they earned their Silver Trefoil.
