DC STEP SHOWCASE 2008

Teens Needed to Design and Facilitate Program Booths

Are your teens looking for Council or Leadership Hours? Groups of teen volunteers are needed to create and lead interactive program activities at booths at the 2008 DC Step Showcase. The Step Showcase is an event where 1,000 Girl Scouts, parents and friends to come together to view Girl Scout Step performances and see what Girl Scouting has to offer!

Program Booth Guidelines

  • Teen-sponsored booths will be selected based on submission of the Program Display Proposal.
  • Booth must have both a visual display of some kind and a simple interactive activity in which girls will participate.
  • Girls will be required to set up booth between 3:00 - 6:00 on Friday, April 25.
  • Girls will be responsible for providing sufficient volunteer support to run booth on day of the event (10:00 - 1:00).
  • Booths will be open from 11:00 - 12:00 at the event (August 26, 2008 at Trinity University in Washington, DC).
  • Girls will be responsible for obtaining supplies for approximately 500 people to visit booth (budget to be negotiated with Step Showcase Task Force).
  • Girls can plan to earn approximately 8-15 hours planning and facilitating booth.

Troops will be contacted the following week.
