Program Aide TrainingAre you a Girl Scout Cadette, Senior or Ambassador interested in working with younger Girl Scouts? A Program Aide is a girl who uses leadership skills to share her interests and experiences with younger girls in a troop, group or camp setting. UPCOMING TRAININGS: Including ALL Girls Program Aide Training Who: Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors Where: Camp Brighton Woods What: At this workshop, teens will learn how to include girls with disabilities in Girl Scouts. The participants will be given the tools to make accommodations and adaptations for girls with disabilities in both a troop and camp setting. In addition to receiving Program Aide (PA) training all participants will receive several specialty trainings and have the opportunity to camp out with inclusive troops on Friday night. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT PA TRAININGS: These trainings typically consists of 3 hours of core training, and 90 minutes of specialty training. Girls will earn the PA pin upon completion of the training, and then must perform 25 hours of service to earn the PA patch. GSCNC offered a PA training with Cookie Specialty training in January, and will offer a PA training with Inclusion Specialty training in May. Additional training opportunities will be posted here as they become available. These PA Trainings will also be advertised in teen-Edition and e-Edition once details have been confirmed.
