Need-based Program Grants help individuals participate in approved Girl Scout activities and trips. Troop Loans help groups participate in activities when funds are not yet available at the time payment (ex: waiting for cookie money to come in.) Please Remember:
The Program Grants Panel meets on the third Monday of each month at the GSCNC DC Office. FAQs for Travel Related Program Grants Any GSCNC-registered girl or adult with financial need. What expenses are covered? Program Grants can cover program fees and transportation costs for a Girl Scout travel and/ or Destination trip. Who decides? The Program Grants Panel, which is made up of volunteers from around the council, meets on a monthly basis to review applications. Members of the Panel understand the value of expanding your horizons through educational travel. The Panel is very interested in helping girls that have planned ahead for their participation in a Girl Scout destination. How is it decided? The Panel looks at your financial need, your planning and budgeting, and your money-earning activities. Fill out Form B252, the Request for Program Grant or Troop Loan. The Panel meets the third Monday of each month and the deadline is the second Monday. Please submit requests at least 6 weeks before a payment is due.
