Bike the C&O Canal
Program Level: J, T
Enjoy scenery along the C&O Canal. Shady conditions and wading locations along the Potomac River make this trip ideal for hot summer days. This tree-lined trail becomes radiant with colors of the changing leaves during the fall. Full or Half day trips are possible. Forms B220 and B240 are required for these high adventure programs.
Fee: $38.35/bike for full day; $23.50/bike for half day; $175 for guided bike tour of historic Harpers Ferry

Guided Shenandoah Raft Trip
Program Level: J, T
Let our ACA certified guide provide a safe, instructional and historically informational trip down the Shenandoah River as it winds through the Shenandoah Valley. Rapids interrupt long pools of fish-jumping waters. Heron and osprey fees here and deer sometimes break through the thickets to drink at the water's edge. Forms B220 and B240 are required for this high adventure program.
Fee: $51/raft weekdays; $60.05/raft weekends; $175/ACA Certified Guide.

Survival Hike
Program Level: J, T
This guided hike teaches skills needed to survive in the woods. We discuss pre-hike planning covering survival gear and techniques. Learn how to purify water, manufacture pure water and build a debris hut to help you survive your first night. Forms B220 and B240 are required for this high adventure program.
Fee: $26.70/Girl Scout; $30.90/Adult

Beginner Kayak Lesson
Program Level: J, T
Introduction to the basics of whitewater and flatwater kayaking in stable recreational kayaks. Instruction begins on shore, covering gear, clothing, equipmen, river safety and hazard detection. The run downriver with Class I-II rapids covers paddling strokes, wet exits, safety on rivers, self rescue, water reading technique and analyzing rapids. Forms B220 and B240 are required for this high adventure program.

Shenandoah Express Tubing & Climbing Wall (when available)
Program Level: J, T
Park at River and Trails Outfitters Millville Campground and shuttle upriver to begin your leisurely float down the Shenandoah over shallow leges along this beautiful stretch of river. Then learn climbing basics. Forms B220 and B240 are required for this high adventure program. Labor Day through Sept.
Fee: Varies depending on number of people. Where: Meet at River &Trail Outfitters, 604 Valley Rd., Knoxville, MD 21758. Tubing takes place on the Shenandoah.

Antietam Creek Tubing Adventure
Program Level: J, T
This stream will refresh even when the temperatures break the 90s. This creek runs through the Antietam National Battlefield, providing flatwater and light whitewater tubing. A canopy of trees shades you from the hot sun while ducks, herons, frogs and crickets can be heard. We stop for a picnic halfway down. Forms B220 and B240 are required for this high adventure program. Mid-June through early Sept.
Fee: $37.20 with picnic or $33 bringing own picnic
