Road Safety Fair

Girl Scouts across Council gathered on Saturday, May 2nd at the Fairfax County Driving Track in Chantilly, VA to earn the Girl Scout's new GEICO DASHBoard Road Safety patch.  Sponsored by GSCNC and GEICO, the day-long fair introduced Girl Scout teens to safe driving subjects through interactive simulations and hands-on demonstrations.

Girls' feedback from the event included:

"It was very informative and fun at the same time."

"Before this, I didn't really know too much about cars other then driving but now I see the safety and "core" aspects to cars as well."

"It was great!"

"There are well-knowledged people at the stations and [there were] great ways to share the info."

"It was really fun and I learned SO much!"

"This was very fun and helpful! I learned a lot and feel much safer for being on the road!"

"What a wonderful program.  We so enjoyed it and would like to thank everyone involved."
