Discover Scuba Patch and IPP Program

For Girl Scout Teens ages 12 and up.

Want to learn what its like to scuba dive?  Come and have fun communicating under water with hand signals.  Learn how to properly use scuba equipment and discover life under water.  Get a taste of what its like to run a dive shop.  Learn about careers involving scuba diving.

This is a local northern Virginia high adventure program available to girls 12 and older.  The program takes place in an indoor recreation center pool with classroom instruction at Adventure Scuba Co. located in Chantilly, VA.  You can earn a Discover Scuba patch and fulfill the requirements for the Scuba IPP.

Participants do a one-day session only.  Pool sessions are available on Saturdays or Sundays either at Oak Marr Rec Center in Oakton, VA or Claude Moore Rec Center in Sterling, VA with classroom at the Adventure Scuba Shop in Chantilly, VA.

Please note that pool session class at Oak Marr Rec Center is limited to10 participants, and at the Claude Moore Rec Center to 12 participants.

Participants will be required to submit a liability waiver and an NAUI medical form.

Cost for pool session is $35.00. Classroom session is $15.00. Patch is $1.50. IPP is $2.00.
