Mail Order Purchases: For best results, place your order two weeks before date needed to avoid backorders. Purchases can be paid for by check, money order, VISA/MASTERCARD/AMERICAN EXPRESS/DISCOVER and must include name, address, phone number and troop number. DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL! When inquiring about a mail order, please state the last name of the person in whose name the order was placed. When ordering merchandise not listed on the order form, please use section on back marked "OTHER MERCHANDISE." Do not duplicate items already shown on the order form. Returns, refunds and exchanges must be accompanied by a copy of the receipt. When mailing in your orders, please mark lower left corner of envelope: Attn.: G.S. Shop. MOBILE GIRL SCOUT SHOP The Mobile Girl Scout Shop is a van that carries most of the merchandise from the Girl Scout shop. It operates yearly between Labor Day and Mid-June in outlying areas throughout the Council. A current schedule of stops is distributed each Fall and Spring. Additional copies are available through the Information Center. Ordering Instructions: To place a phone order for the Mobile Shop only, call: (202) 237-1670 or 1-800-523-7898 Orders are to be phoned in not less than five days prior to the pick up date desired. Please have orders completely written out before calling to place your orders. Order any item from the catalog except flags with printing, fabric, patterns and personalized name tags. Parents can phone in personal orders and need to be informed that payment is made by CHECK OR CREDIT CARD only. Checks must include the same information as referenced under mail orders. Credit cards are not accepted at van stop, they must be called in advance. Please order only the items you want to purchase. The Mobile Girl Scout Shop does not have the added space to bring merchandise to view, other than what is currently on display at that time. Any order that is not picked up will be returned to stock. We encourage you to place orders in advance to ensure completion of each order. Cancellation of Van StopsIn the case of inclement weather or other difficulties, the van may not be able to make a scheduled stop. To verify schedule please call (202) 237-1670 ext. 249 or check the website under Mobile shop. If you had an order to pick up, you will be contacted about the cancellation by phone. "MINI" SHOPS "Mini" Shops are small retail shops set up by the Main shop. They operate in the Spring and Fall for approx. six weeks to make GS shopping more convenient for our leaders, parents and volunteers. The shops are stocked with most of the items in the GSUSA catalog, with emphasis on uniforms and handbooks in the Fall and badges, patches and pins in the Spring. Locations to date include:
