Former Girl Scouts

If you were a Girl Scout with fond memories of campfire singalongs, outdoor adventures, and friendships made in your troop, then we want to hear from you. You'll be joining the ranks of other famous formers, including opera's Jessye Norman, Katie Couric of CBS News, poet Laureate Rita Dove, U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, and feminist Gloria Steinem.

Beginning March 2007, Girl Scouting will celebrate the 95th anniversary of the movement's founding. This was the day when Juliette Low called neighbors in Savannah, Georgia, to tell them she was starting an organization for the girls of Savannah "and all the world." Today, Girl Scouting serves more than three million girls nationwide. Millions of today's most successful women were members as girls.
