Girl Scouts of Nassau County Chorus

Formed in 1988, the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Chorus includes 50 Brownies through Seniors who travel throughout the county and beyond to delight audiences with Girl Scout songs, patriotic songs and holiday-themed songs.

The chorus is currently under the direction of Catherine Azzara, a former girl member of the chorus, 2002 Gold Award recipient and Girl Scout adult volunteer. Catherine's education, passion for music and commitment to Girl Scouting make her a great role model for the girls in the chorus.

In 2006, the chorus was selected to sing "True Colors", the background music used in the Campaign for Real Beauty Commercial produced by Dove. The commercial aired during the NFL Super Bowl Game and was an immediate success. In addition, the chorus has appeared at Shea Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Belmont State Park and Jones Beach State Park, among many venues, and is a staple at Girl Scouts of Nassau County's major meetings and ceremonies.
