is saying about Teresa’s new Girl Scout songs!

Her musical mantra is “Changing the World One Song At A Time” and popular singer-songwriter, Teresa, makes good on her promise. A songwriter with a knack for emotional storylines that accentuate the strengths and vulnerabilities of women of all ages, Teresa has an expressive voice that gets her point across with clarity and personality. Her new CD, Girls of Courage, is filled with catchy pop melodies, cutting-edge rock energy, and powerful lyrics about encouragement and empowerment.

A successful keynote singer-songwriter, Teresa brings her sunny disposition and positive approach to her writing and her whirlwind tour schedule, which has had her making over 1000 college appearances. Also entertaining clients such as NASA, Southwest Airlines and El Paso Corporation, Teresa has been working with the Girl Scouts for the past six years. “I love it,” says the brunette trussed songstress with an ever-present twinkle in her eye. “It all began when GSUSA CEO, Kathy Cloninger, then CEO of the Cumberland Valley Girl Scouts in Nashville, heard one of my songs and invited me to perform at a regional conference she was hosting.”

From there invitations came to perform Girl Fests, Recruiting Events, Anniversary Celebrations, the National Girl Scout Convention and the 95th Sing-Along on the Mall Concert.

“One of my most unforgettable Girl Scout moments was when I performed in New Orleans for the Girl Scout Council of Southeast Louisiana at the first post Katrina event intended to be a Morale Booster for the girls. Their campsite was destroyed and 2000 girls, “Girl Scout Style”, turned a parking lot into a party/concert site. We had a great time and it was a true demonstration of the Girl Scout way of “always being prepared.”

Teresa, who uses only her first name, is the unprecedented seven-time NACA (National Association of Campus Activities) College Award Winner. She brings her same can-do success and her ability of making difficult life situations simpler, to words and music. This theme rings true to her songs.

Teresa, who originally hails from Connecticut, started out on the club scene there and had established herself as the queen of the college circuit before making her move to Nashville. Quickly she got a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and a Sony Music/Epic Recording contract followed. Teresa soon became a critics darling. “When it comes to making music, Teresa is an unstoppable force of nature,” says noted Music Critic and Historian, Robert K. Oermann.

Teresa then struck out on her own, releasing Brave New Girls. The title track was out of this world, literally, becoming the wake-up song for the first female commanded Space Shuttle flight. It’s this “Girls Can Do Anything” theme that’s apparent in all the tracks on the Girls Of Courage CD.

Teresa’s hip and wholesome music is bringing a new voice to Girl Scouting that is ringing out across the land.

Using her A plus writing skills and professional song sense Teresa has written and recorded 10 songs with a modern message and top notch production that is a home run with Girl Scouts and their leaders across the country. “Teresa puts to music the spirit of Girl Scouting and really knows how to connect with the girls. Her passion, authenticity and charisma shine through in everything she does and we hope to have a long term partnership with her,” says Nancy Nygren, CEO, Girl Scouts of Orange County Council.
