Transportation

We're so glad you're coming to the Sing-Along! Whether you're coming by train, plane, automobile, bus or yak, we look forward to welcoming you to Washington, D.C.

Washington is famous for many things - Cherry Blossom trees, monuments and TRAFFIC!! No matter how you're getting to the Washington area, our best advice is DON'T DRIVE DOWNTOWN!! Keep in mind that the Sing-Along is during the height of tourist season. There is no parking available at the event site and only vehicles with a Sing-Along Special Permit will be allowed to off-load passengers at the mall.

Traveling by chartered bus - arrangements have been made to have bus parking available at outlying Metro stations for charter buses coming to the event. There will be no place at the event site to unload buses. Detailed instructions will be posted on the "Chartered Bus" section of this page.

Traveling by car - park at a Metrorail station and ride our subway to the Sing-Along. Using the Metrorail link, determine the closest location to your planned route, check the station information to make sure there is parking, and plan on heading to that station on June 9th.

Metro may be the quickest route both into and out of the city on the day of the event. Should you still want to drive into the city, parking both on the street and in parking garages will be up to you - no special arrangements can be made to accommodate parking and there will be no event parking available.

Traveling by train: (link to something Any Amtrak passengers arriving at Union Station in Washington can get on a Metro train without even going outside - there's a Metro station in Union Station!

For those travelling by yak….well, we were just kidding about that. There will not be any yak parking on the Mall that day either, so plan accordingly.
