How To Apply for Day and Evening Camps

Before you follow the steps below to apply for one of our great Camps, please review the ways in which your daughter may be placed in a Camp. Camp Directors will utilize one of the following methods for placements:
Lottery-each girl who registers will be given a number. That number will be placs in a pot and numbers will be randomly selected to determine their camp placements.
First Come-First Serve-Girls who are registered earlier will have a greater likelihood to be placed in their program of choice.

STEP 1: Your daughter must be a registered Girl Scout with the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital.

If your daughter is registered, please skip to STEP 2.
If your daughter is not registered, please register here.

Be prepared to pay a $12 registration fee (non-refundable) with a debit or credit card. This fee is for your daughter's membership as a Girl Scout and lasts through September 30, 2012.

Pre-school aged girls or boys of any age of camp volunteers do not need to be registered members. Contact a camp individually for volunteer opportunities.

STEP 2: Make sure you have access to your child's account online.

You must have a separate account for each child. If you have an account in your name, you still must create an account for any child(ren) who is attending camp.
Please make sure

All information about your child is updated and accurate.
The email associated with your child's account is one that you check often, as this will be the primary vehicle used for communication.
If you do not have an email address or easy access to the internet, please contact the camp that you would like to apply for so that they can assist you in the application process.

STEP 3: Browse through the various camps and select one.

Click on the specific camp's name for more information about that camp.

STEP 4: Click on "Apply" for the camp that you and your child have selected, follow the directions and make payment.

APPLYING and PAYING DOES NOT GUARANTEE CAMP PLACEMENT. You will be notified about your daughter's placement by the camp. If your daughter is not placed, you will be issued a full refund of the camp fee.
If you are applying for financial aid, please complete the financial application BEFORE applying for camp! You will not be eligible for financial aid once payment has been made. Financial aid can be requested by clicking here.
