Leader in Action

Cadette Program Aide Traning
- Earn one LiA award.  (You can find these in the Cadette Journeys and the Brownie Journey Adult Guides.)

- Work directly with younger girls over six activity sessions. 
This might involve assisting girls with Journey activities (in addition to
earning your LiA), badge activities, or other sessions.  You might work with a troop or group at their meetings, at a day camp, or at a special council event.

Counselor-in-Training I
- Take GSCNC’s CIT I training course. | View current classes
- Work with younger girls over the course of a camp session.

Counselor-in-Training II
- Take GSCNC’s CIT II training course. | View current classes

- Work with younger girls over the course of a camp session.

Volunteer-in-Training
- Find a volunteer who is currently serving as a troop leader for a group of girls at the level you’d like to work with, and ask her to be your mentor.  This volunteer will help you through your training and project, and you’ll work with her and her group of girls for a three-to-six month period.  

- Complete Basic Leader training | View classes
- Complete the Program Level training for girls you intend to work with. View classes
- Create and implement a thoughtful program based on a Journey or badge that lasts over four or more sessions.  Be responsible for designing, planning, and evaluating the activities.  Choose your activities or topic based on your own passions or areas of expertise.
